DTFK (Day Trips For Kids) 

Coney Island is definitely a great place to be in the summer. Also spring and fall, but I would not recommend going there when it is cold. There is cotton candy, one or two amusement parks, fun games where you can win prizes, Nathan’s hot dog shop, a beach with the ocean connected to it, and the aquarium* (I went there on a field trip once, I was unlucky it was in February).

Day Trip for Kids

Have A Picnic At Central Park! You can ask a grownup to take you to Central Park,but remember to pack food and drink. You can visit the zoo, feed the birds, and you can feed turtles, and that would definitely be a great place to play hide-and-seek! Also, I recommend you bring a frisbee so you could throw it around. Their phone number is (212)-310-6600. You can ride the Central Park Carousel, which is about a 10 minute walk away from the zoo.

Travel

I went to Florida on the weekend of March 7-8 and the airplane ride was very boring. Here are a few things you can do to make your trip entertaining

  1. Download books on your phone or iPad on either Libby or Kindle

  2. If you are on Delta, there is a WiFi that you can use

  3. Take a nap

  4. Watch a movie (Aladdin, Cinderella might be good for kids and you can also do Girls Will Be Girls and Slow Horses for grownups) 

  5. Look at a map

I’m in Florida because my grandma lives there. When you go places, do you go there to visit friends and family, or just because it maybe has nice weather and there is a famous building there, like Mt. Rushmore or The Eiffel Tower?
